What does and doesn’t Petsure cover?
Petsure pet insurance includes a choice of £1-15k vet fees which cover:
- Behavioural treatment
- Complementary therapy
- Dental accidents
- Euthanasia
- MRI/CT scans (up to £2k)
- Cruciate ligaments (up to £2k)
You’re covered for emergency pet care along with third-party liability for dogs.
Dental accidents are covered as standard but you won’t be able to claim for routine preventative treatments like teeth cleaning.If you’ve bought our optional dental illness cover, you can claim to relieve suffering due to dental illness.
You can choose to add the following optional extras to your policy:
- Travel and Holiday cover
- Dental Illness
- Missing Pet cover
- Farewell cover
Some of the things not included with Petsure cover include:
- Routine scale and polishes
- Primary or booster vaccinations
- Spaying and castration
- Routine and preventative treatments such as flea and worming
- Routine or investigative tests (unless to diagnose a new or worsening condition covered under your policy)

Does Petsure offer a multi-pet policy?
You can cover up to eight pets in the family under one easy-to-manage policy with our multi-pet insurance.
This gives you the flexibility to set individual cover limits to suit the needs of each pet.

Does Petsure cover older pets?
At Petsure, we don’t have upper age limits and can cover older cats and senior dogs.
Many pet insurers won’t take on new pets after a certain age, which is usually 8 for dogs and 10 for cats.

Can I switch to Petsure from another provider with continuous cover?
You can switch to Petsure with no break in cover if you’re moving to us from another lifetime pet insurance product.
This means you won’t have any waiting periods if you need to claim for an accident or illness.
*Cover for pre-existing medical conditions is subject to acceptance. They will not be covered unless you have declared them and they are shown on your Confirmation of Cover.
**Illnesses and symptoms won’t be covered in the first 14 days and accidents won’t be covered in the first 2 days of the policy. This is unless you are switching from another lifetime pet insurance product with no break in cover and the claim you want to make would have been covered by your previous policy. Other exclusions may apply to other sections.
